Circle of Colours

Circle of colours has been setup to promote ballroom dancing within schools. With the help of partner secondary schools, Ballroom Beginnings provides pupils and feeder primary schools with the social skills and exercise inherant in ballroom dancing.

Over the last 2 years 'Circle of Colours' has been running in a large number of primary schools within Calderdale, teaching Ballroom Dancing to primary school students. The teaching has taken place during school curriculum time allowing schools to fulfil their KS2 PE commitment to Dance. Many schools have also undertaken after school extra curricula sessions.

It has been the priority of Ballroom Beginnings to ensure that all teaching has been undertaken by qualified Ballroom Dancing teachers to ensure a consitency of teaching across all schools and levels.
